He is a mostly self taught perfumer with a love of chemistry and experiment forged through his previous experience in the fields of beer/wine making and the culinary arts.

Growing up in an extremely rural part of Michigan, he has always felt a deep connection to the natural world and was inspired by the scents of that ecological paradise: wild flowers, grasses, deep woods, and the rivers and lakes of his childhood.

Arthur currently resides in Canandaigua, NY where he operates JINX out of a refurbished restaurant.
