While most houses, both major and indie, purchase pre-fabricated amber bases from any of the various material suppliers, JINX took the long way home, and developed our own in-house Ambreine-style amber accord. What sets this accord apart from readily available, off-the-shelf ambers? Well, a whole lot, but most importantly all of the woody, resinous constituents were subbed out for an incense grade Jayapura Oud macerated on whole vanilla beans, and a homemade costus extraction macerated on hand ground tonka beans. We legitimately burnt out a magnetic stirrer motor during the several month process. The vanilla and tonka beans serve to bring a more raw, natural element to the coumarin and vanillin (both naturally derived) in the composition. Edition of 20.
