In collaboration with new and upcoming brand Sola Gratia Parfums, we present to you the final word in purple oud perfumes: JEMS8 One Tree Purple. There are a lot of stories about single tree oud distillations, most being nothing more than marketing tactics. Anyone capable of simple math can see through the fallacy: How do you get 5+ kilos of oil from a single tree when it often takes a football field's acreage of trees to yield 20 kilos? You don't. In the case of our tree, we got a meager (but mighty) 120 grams of oil, most of which you will find divided amongst the 30 bottles of JEMS8. This wild, Kelantan Malaccensis was soaked for three days, and distilled at extremely low temps over 5 straight days, and the yield is pure, polleny, purple incense smoke that rivals the best purple ouds out there. All other materials were used conservatively in an effort to keep our prized distillation the star of this purple pageant. Edition of 30.
