Rose:Red, pink, and white, co-distilled with Oud, red rose co-distilled with frankincense, red rose co-distilled with benzoin and deer musk slurry = Ro/Co. If you're not familiar, co-distilling materials together has an entirely different effect than simply blending individually distilled oils, especially in the case of benzoin. In Ro/Co, a slurry of deer musk was poured into the copper kettle with Damask rose petals, and paste-like crushed benzoin resin, and while you can't really distill deer musk, the benzoin acts as binder, and extracts gooey cocoa notes, and spicy peppercorn notes directly from the vintage musk, creating a new musk note few have experienced before. A lush rose garden occupies all three stages of wear in this Arabian-classic-turned-upside-down.
